Whenever I hear it, I am immediately brought to our family’s house with all the festive cheer, her holiday Chex mix and the anticipation of shredding open gift wrapping come the morning. If I rewrote this song the chorus would read, All I Want for Christmas is Gadget Gifts. That is really it. I don’t care where they fit into the tech world. It could be a pair of night vision spy gear, a 2GB flash drive, video game, camera, headphones or one of the many game consoles. It is all welcome with this guy, right here.

 

Gadget gifts have a rep for being expensive but people forget this is almost 2010. Gadget gifts are as common as toothbrushes. There are some amazing deals on sweet products online. Anything having to do with computers has gotten really affordable, media players and game consoles keep dropping in price and memory is dirt cheap. I could really use a terabyte of external memory. I don’t think that would ever fill up. I say that now but come five years from now video files may be so clear they take up 100 GBs a file.
