spy gear, gadget gifts
As someone who grew up in the 60s and loves space travel, high tech gadgets and spy gear like listening devices and night vision binocular, I have always loved to give and receive gadget gifts. It's almost as much fun to give gadget gifts as it is to receive them. One of the coolest gifts that I ever gave my golf-loving father was a programmable electronic score card. He liked it, too, and spent most of Christmas morning playing with it and figuring out to program his new toy. Spy gear makes a fun gift, too, especially if you have young boys around to play with it. Toy stores now are filled with all kinds of spy gear for kids including listening devices, night vision scopes, magnifiers, special pens for writing secret messages and the like. In a way it's just like the 1960's, when spy gear toys were all over the place because of the popularity of the James Bond films and shows like The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and The Wild, Wild West. Kids today probably don't remember such shows, but they do love gadgets, or why else would the toy stores keep stocking gadget gifts like spy gear and the like.
