It is truly amazing at how far computer technology has come on the next generation video game consoles of today. Unlike their past counterparts, which were cool but were also limited in features and graphical capabilities, the game consoles of today can take you to a vast and immersive, colorful and realistic world. Typically such awesomeness is found in RPG games – and I am a big time fan of some of the popular RPG games out there today like ‘Elder Scrolls: The Oblivion.’ Such games allow you to create and name your own character, and even make them appear like you do in real life. Then it’s off to saving the magical and fictional world that your character lives in from some sort of thwarting evil. Newer RPG games are so immersive that you can literally burn a few hours playing them and not even realize that the sun has gone down before you stop playing. I think that the most enticing aspect to such games is that you are living a second, virtual life, where the world you are in depends upon you to be their savior.
