What is it about the words spy gear that I find so cool? Maybe when I hear the words spy gear, I think about all the cool adventures that spies like Napoleon Solo, Illya Kuryakin, Sydney Bristow, James Bond, even Chuck Bartowski have gone on. I've both watched and read many adventures of the above-mentioned spies, and all their fine uses of spy gear. Even NCIS has been known to use spy gear from time to time. When I watch, and especially read those stories, I get lost in the adventure, playing spy along with the heroes and their spy gear.

Speaking of spy gear, I just remembered something I saw when I ran an errand the other day. I don't have a fax machine at home, nor do I have an online fax service, so I had to go out and pay to fax something to my car loan provider. While I was standing at the register, I noticed these sleek, silver pens. Upon closer inspection I found them to be USB flash drives, in addition to pens. The first thought that came to mind when I saw those cool pens was the pen communicator from the Man from U.N.C.L.E. It was a really cool thing and my next thought was to run home and post about it on the Man from U.N.C.L.E. yahoo groups, after I took a few pictures with my camera phone that is. It's a good thing I don't have money right now, or else I would have bought that pen, even though I don't need another flash drive. I would have done it just because it's such a geeky thing to do and would be like having my own piece of spy gear.
