game consoles Without a doubt, my favorite part of game consoles has become their online features. Playing among a mass of 16 players from all corners of the country and sometimes globe creates a new experience with the same game every single time a match starts. One of my other favorite parts is being able to chat with friends over a headset while gaming. Last night I spoke with a college friend I spent four years getting to know. After graduating I moved out of state and have only seen him a handful of times when coming back to visit. It just so happened we were both playing Call of Duty: World at War at the same time. I sent him a game consoles party invite and within seconds we were catching up.

He had graduated a few months ago and was planning on moving back home. I was actually able to help him with figuring out the best way to move from the Southwest to the Pacific Northwest because I am helping my brother move in two weeks. In between shouts of, “Watch out zombie behind you,” We talked about upcoming job interviews and possibly traveling internationally together. Without game consoles, I probably wouldn’t have seen talked to him for years. Game consoles are closing the digital divide.
